The following tuition rates will be charged for the 2007-2008 academic year:

SOUTH CAROLINA RESIDENT

$8,182.00 PER SEMESTER

NON-RESIDENT with Scholarship

$9,057.00 PER SEMESTER

NON-RESIDENT

$16,525.00 PER SEMESTER

All students are charged a $200.00 per semester technology fee, included in the rates listed above. Entering students are also charged a one-time $50.00 graduation fee.

SCHOOL OF LAW BUDGET

Budget for law student living off campus:

SC Resident $33,147.00 per year
Non-resident $50,469.00 per year
Non-resident with Scholarship $34,965.00 per year

Loan Eligibility:

Subsidized Stafford Loan $8,500.00
Unsubsidized Stafford Loan $12,000.00

If funds are needed beyond the Stafford Loan maximum of $20,500.00 per year, the federal PLUS loan is available for professional students. A student may apply to borrow up to the budgeted amount. Private lenders are also available.

After paying tuition and buying books the remaining funds are available for living expenses including rent, food, utilities, transportation, etc. Financial aid budgets do not include summers. Funds are dispersed in two equal installments with half of the overage being available in August and the other half available in January. Students should develop a budget that allows them to live on available resources.
