Harriet McBryde Johnson Memorial Scholarship

Dot Scott, President of Charleston Chapter of NAACP presented a check representing the Chapter’s contribution to the Harriet McBryde Johnson Memorial Scholarship at the Law School. The occasion for the presentation was a benefit concert in Charleston, on July 8th, which would have been Harriet’s 52nd birthday. Many of Harriet’s friends attended the “Rhythm and Protest” concert, which was organized by Susan K. Dunn, who was one of Harriet's closest friends. Susan is a Charleston attorney, and major supporter of the Harriet Johnson Scholarship.
