Career Services
The Office of Career Services serves as a liaison between students and legal employers. It helps students define their career goals and equips them with the skills and information necessary for a successful employment search. In addition, the office is always available to alumni in career transition.
The office provides expert guidance with resume preparation, interviewing, and job-search strategies. It also hosts panel discussions by graduates about various career paths. A mock interviewing program and one-to-one counseling are available.
Through the on-campus interviewing program, numerous employers, including law firms, judges, and government agencies, interview students at the law school each year. Students also participate in off-campus interviews at recruiting conferences and job fairs in other parts of the country. Varied job opportunities, including fulltime, part-time, and summer positions, are posted throughout the year. A Web-based system allows students to check job postings, upload resumes, apply for on-campus interviews, and research employers online.
Approximately 97% of graduates are employed within nine months of graduation.
