1964

Judge J. Ernest Kinard, Jr. was honored in November by the South Carolina Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates as Trial Judge of the Year.

D. Reece Williams, III was honored in November by the South Carolina Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates as Trial Lawyer of the Year.

1968

T. Patton Adams, IV was selected by the Senior Lawyers Division of the South Carolina Bar to be admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court.

1970

Paul W. Garfinkel was selected by the Senior Lawyers Division of the South Carolina Bar to be admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court.

W. Forrest Keels, Jr. was selected by the Senior Lawyers Division of the South Carolina Bar to be admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court.

1972

David D. Armstrong was selected by the Senior Lawyers Division of the South Carolina Bar to be admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court.

1976

Bernard V. Kearse, III was recognized by Martindale-Hubbell as achieving an AV rating of "excellent" in the areas of legal abilities and ethics, as well as being listed in its Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers. He was elected a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation in 2006.

1977

Scott Elliott is Vice Chairman of the Babcock Center in Columbia.

1991

Anne Frances Bleecker was recently honored by the MOJA Arts Festival for her service to the Charleston African-American community in the area of local politics. She was presented with the award at the 13th Community Tribute Luncheon in October at Lowndes Grove Plantation in Charleston.

1998

April W. Sampson has joined the Columbia office of Duff & White. She was former Deputy Public Defender for Richland County.

2006

Edward Bender is an associate in the Columbia office of Nexsen Pruet and practices with the healthcare group.

Callie A. Campbell is an associate in the Charleston office of Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd. She focuses her practice on insurance defense cases, including products liability and defamation actions.

Walter "Wally" R. Frye, III is an associate in the Columbia office of McAngus Goudelock & Courie. His practice focuses on workers' compensation.

Terra M. Futch is an associate in the Columbia office of McAngus Goudelock & Courie. Her practice focuses on general liability defense including automobile negligence, premises liability, products liability, and construction defects.

Amanda A. Mellard is an associate in the Greenville office of McAngus Goudelock & Courie. Her practice focuses on workers' compensation.

Kimberly Neel is an associate in the Columbia office of Nexsen Pruet and practices with the bankruptcy group.

Joshua D. Spencer is an associate in the Greenville office of Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd. He focuses his practice on insurance defense and commercial and construction litigation.

Bachman S. Smith, IV is an associate in the Charleston office of Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd. He focuses his practice on insurance defense matters.
