Augustus Tompkins Graydon, 90, of Columbia died June 15.

G. Richard Griffith passed away October, 2006 in Greenwood, SC.
1959
Retired Fifth Circuit Judge Owens Taylor Cobb, Jr., died on Thursday, May 31, 2007 in Columbia, after an illness of several months. For those wishing to send a memorial in lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to the USC School of Law Development Fund, 701 South Main Street, Columbia, SC 29208.
The Hon. Ralph King Anderson Jr., has published a new book: The South Carolina Requests to Charge-Criminal. It includes numerous chapters and a multitude of individual charges covering all the major criminal offenses in South Carolina.
1963
James Otis Dunn, 72, of Myrtle Beach died June 14. Beginning in 1978, Dunn served three terms as Solicitor for Horry and Georgetown Counties.
1969
Henry B. Richardson Jr., is retiring after more than 10 years of distinguished service as the Disciplinary Counsel for the S.C. Supreme Court Commissions on Lawyer and Judicial Conduct. Richardson has agreed to serve as the senior counsel in the Office of Disciplinary Counsel.

H. Michael Bowers has become a shareholder of the firm with offices located at 171 Church St., Ste. 210, Charleston 29401. (843) 577-9888. The firm's name has been changed to Wilkes Bowers, PA.
1979
The S.C. Commission on Women has recognized Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough Partner Sue Erwin "Corky" Harper with a 2007 S.C. Women of Achievement Award for Promoting Economic Autonomy for Women. The commission recognized Ms. Harper, a certified Labor and Employment Law specialist, as an attorney on the forefront of mentoring and supporting women in the profession.

Ralph Hoisington, prosecutor for South Carolina's ninth judicial circuit, died June 9.
1981
Lanneau "Lanny" Lambert, Jr. took over as the 2007-08 president of the S.C. Bar, overseeing a membership of more than 12,000 lawyers. He will also continue as managing shareholder of Turner Padget Graham & Laney, a 90-attorney firm with offices in Columbia, Charleston, Florence, Greenville and Myrtle Beach.

Lesley M. Coggiola has been appointed Disciplinary Counsel for the Supreme Court Commissions on Lawyer and Judicial Conduct.
Tim Madden has graduated in the Class of 2007 Liberty Fellows, a two-year leadership program designed to empower the future leaders of South Carolina. The statewide leadership effort promotes values-based leadership to South Carolina leaders ages 25-45 geared toward critical thinking, skilled mentorship and camaraderie. Madden practices at the Greenville office of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough.

Robert D. Moseley Jr. has been recognized by the Safety & Loss Prevention Management Council with the 2007 Out-standing Contribution Award. The award recognizes Moseley's service and contributions to the success of the council and the members it serves
