The Pendleton Street garage (on Pendleton between Bull and Pickens Streets) will be available for guests attending Commencement exercises. Guests may park at the metered spaces in the Pendleton Street garage at no charge. Other parking spaces there are by permit only and vehicles parked there are subject to ticketing and possibly towed. Limited metered parking is available on the streets surrounding the Horseshoe and it is patrolled by the City of Columbia. There is also handicapped parking around the Horseshoe for guests who have placards or license plates.
An area on the Horseshoe is reserved for disabled seating. If you have a guest that requires accommodations due to a disability, please contact Megan Seiner by Wednesday, May 7th.

If there is a threat of inclement weather, a decision will be made on Thursday, May 8th no later than 4:00pm as to the location of the Commencement exercises. The decision of location will be posted on the School of Law website (law.sc.edu). In the event of inclement weather, Commencement will be held at the Koger Center, located at the intersection of Assembly and Greene Streets. Due to limited seating at the Koger Center, graduates will be limited to ten (10) guest tickets. Guest tickets for admission to the ceremony will be distributed to the graduates starting the week before commencement. Graduates may pick them up from Megan Seiner or Tootie Hooks in room 140. The last day to pick up tickets is Thursday, May 8th. Overflow seating will be available in the School of Law Auditorium with a live video feed of the ceremony.
The only parking available at the Koger Center is handicapped parking. These spaces are limited and guests are advised to arrive early if they wish to secure a space. Parking in these spaces requires a handicapped decal. Additional handicapped parking is available at the meters on the west side of Assembly Street between College and Greene Streets, and on both sides of College Street between Assembly and Park Streets.
There is a Drop-off Zone on the Assembly Street side of the building. This is particularly helpful during inclement weather, when guests can drop off and pick up passengers close to the doors. Parking is not permitted in the drop off zone.
There is on-street parking around the Koger Center. Additionally, there are parking lots behind the Carolina Coliseum (Z lots) and the Discovery Plaza garage.
