In October 2008, Professor Connolly visits South Korea as a guest of the Gyeongnam Ramsar Environmental Foundation. While there she will present on the preservation of international wetlands at five different events. Please read the blog of her journey.

On July 17, 2007, Professor Connolly testified before the United States House of Representatives Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure about the status of the nation's waters. Professor Connolly's areas of academic interest include natural resources and public lands law, particularly wetlands law and policy and other Clean Water Act matters. Professor Connolly's scholarly works have appeared in The Environmental Law Reporter, The Catholic University Law Review, The Washington University Journal of Law and Policy, The Vermont Journal of Environmental Law, The Southeastern Environmental Law Journal, and other publications. Professor Connolly served as co-editor of the ABA Wetlands Law and Policy: Understanding Section 404 book. She speaks regularly at national and international conferences on wetlands, coastal and other environmental matters.
Professor Connolly teaches or has taught the Environmental Law Clinic, Introduction to Environmental Law and Policy, Environmental Advocacy, Environmental Law of South Carolina, Public Interest Environmental Law Seminar, Legislation, and Interviewing, Counseling and Negotiating. She is also a member of the summer faculty at Vermont Law School (the #1 U.S. News and World Report-ranked environmental program) where she teaches Wetlands Law and Policy. Professor Connolly is also an associate faculty member of the University of South Carolina School of the Environment.
Before joining the law faculty in 1999, Professor Connolly worked as an associate at a number of Washington, D.C. law firm environmental law practice groups. She received her J.D. magna cum laude in 1993 from Georgetown University Law Center, and is an LL.M. Candidate at the George Washington University Law School Environmental Law Program. Professor Connolly did her undergraduate work in chemistry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was a Morehead Scholar. Prior to law school, Professor Connolly was the director of the North Carolina Rural Communities Assistance Project, Inc., and also served as a VISTA Volunteer.
