NOTES FROM THE SBA PRESIDENT

CHIEF JUSTICE ROBERTS

Students selected through the lottery can pick up their tickets on Thursday. Students sitting in the auditorium must dress as if attending court and are prohibited from bringing the following items with them to the auditorium: backpacks, bags, cameras, recording devices, or cell phones. All classes on Friday are cancelled, except for one 8:00am legal writing class. An email will be sent later today with further details about the overflow rooms.

PRESIDENTS' COUNCIL MEETING

There will be a meeting of all organization heads/representatives Thursday, Oct. 19 at 12:45 in room 231 - check the weekly update bulletin board for the date.

SKI TRIP

The deadline to sign up for this year's Ski Trip to Snowshoe, WV is next Friday, Oct. 27. The Ski Trip is going to be Jan. 12-14 (Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend) and for only $450 you get 3 nights of lodging, 2 days of lift tickets, and 2 days of ski or snowboard rental. For you 3Ls, this could be the last time you get to take a vacation without worrying about what you're missing at work. For the 1L and 2Ls, this is a great opportunity to meet other law students and to go skiing for an incredibly low cost. Sign up sheets are on the door of the SBA store (you can sign up with non-law school students as well). We want to make sure everyone who wants to go, is able to, so if you can only pay half of the cost by Oct. 27 or have any other questions, send me an email and we will work something out (applebycl@hotmail.com).

THANK YOU

A an enormous thank you goes out to Jennifer Harris and everyone else who worked so hard to make this year's Fall SBA Golf Tournament a huge success. The Timberlake Golf Course was a great course located on Lake Murray and the weather on Friday could not have been any better. Check out pictures from this event on the Student Life page later on this week and if you weren't able to make it out this semester, be on the lookout next semester to sign up for the Spring SBA Golf Tournament.
