DEAN PRATT'S TOWN MEETING

SUPREME COURT LUNCHTIME TALK SERIES

They're back! Be sure to join us this year for another series of interesting and informative discussions on recent Supreme Court cases, trends, and developments. Kicking of this year's program are Professors Susan Kuo and Thomas Crocker. They will discuss Criminal Procedure and Sentencing.


GOLF TOURNAMENT

This year's tournament will be held Friday, October 5, at Oak Hills Golf Course (www.oakhillsgolf.com), and is being put on by the Palmetto Law Society. Lunch is at 12:30, and there will be a shotgun start at 1:30.

Cost is $35 for PLS members, $40 for SBA members, $45 for non-members (if you want to sign up as a team, must pay with 1 check or all register together.) Round of golf, 2 free drink tickets ($2 beer special), lunch, door prizes, and driving range privileges included. SBA and PLS members receive a $5 discount!!!

The last day to sign-up for the tournament is Wednesday, October 3rd, because PLS must turn in the names of all golfers to the golf course by Thursday. Thus, there will be a registration table on 10/1, 10/2, and 10/3 only!

The faculty and staff of the Southeastern Environmental Law Journal would like to extend warm thanks to the members of our law school family who helped to make our recent takings symposium such a huge success. Volunteer at Harvest Hope - join CLS and the Pro Bono Program as we volunteer at Harvest Hope's warehouse on October 19 from 1:30 to 3:30. The school has donated tons to the food bank and now is your opportunity to see what Harvest Hope is all about. KENTUCKY/USC TICKETS

Scanning for the Kentucky/USC football student tickets will begin Monday, October 1, from 9a-4p in the Student Services office, Room 131-K. Lottery results will be posted on Tuesday, October 2 at 4:00 pm. Tickets will be distributed on Wednesday, October 3, from 9a-4p, and on Thursday, October 4, from 9a-12n. At the stadium gate student tickets must be accompanied by a valid student ID.

FALL BRIDGE THE GAP

The registration deadline for the Fall Bridge the Gap is October 12. Fall Bridge the Gap is scheduled for October 22-24. It is a video presentation at SC Bar Building located on 950 Taylor St. Applications are available in Student Services, Room 131-K.

FLU SHOTS ARE HERE!

Students can receive flu shots at the Thomson Health Center beginning Tuesday, October 2, during the hours of 8:30a-4p. You can make an appointment (777-3174) or you can wait in line. Flu shots will also be given out at the Russell House, 2nd floor, from 8:30 am - 4:00 pm. The cost is $10 for students and student's spouse with a USC ID.
