Stanley E. Adelman
Visiting Associate Professor of Law
Visiting Associate Professor of Law Stan Adelman has taught law since 1997 at the University of Arkansas School of Law, the University of Tulsa College of Law, and Albany Law School. His primary areas of expertise are criminal law and procedure, sentencing and correctional law, and post-conviction procedure and remedies. He has also taught Civil Procedure, Torts, Trial Preparation, and Bar Preparation.
Professor Adelman is co-author of Cohen, Hall & Adelman, Criminal Procedure: the Post-Investigative Process, LexisNexis, 3d Ed. 2008. He has also written extensively in the area of criminal law and procedure, and has trained judges, prosecutors, defenders, and criminal justice professionals in these and other related areas. Prior to his law teaching career, Professor Adelman served as Counsel for a number of agencies in Massachusetts, including the Office of Public Safety, the Parole Board, the Department of Correction, and the State Police. He began his career in criminal justice as a Parole Officer for the State of New York.
Professor Adelman is also a semi-professional musician and a jazz and blues enthusiast.
