Professor Flynn joined the USC Department of Clinical Legal Studies faculty in 1983 following service as a staff attorney for the Land of Lincoln Legal Assistance Foundation in Carbondale, Illinois (1974-79), Litigation Director for Legal Services of Western Carolina in Greenville, South Carolina (1979-80), Litigation Director for Western Kentucky Legal Services in Madisonville, Kentucky (1981), and a staff attorney for the Neighborhood Legal Assistance Program in Beaufort, South Carolina. His teaching interests include Alternative Dispute Resolution, Civil Rights, Discovery, Employment Discrimination, Legal Profession, and Trial and Appellate Advocacy with a special interest in civil rights litigation. Professor Flynn has served on the South Carolina Protection and Advisory Commission's Legal Issues Advisory Committee (1983), the South Carolina HIV Services Planning Commission's Legal/Policy Issues Subcommittee (1990), and has been a member of the Board of Director for the South Carolina Bar's Pro Bono Program since 1987.
