Ami Leventis teaches Legal Writing I and Legal Writing II to first year students. Prior to joining the faculty, Mrs. Leventis practiced as an associate and then as a contract attorney for Gunderson, Dettmer, LLP in Menlo Park, CA. Her practice has focused on emerging growth companies in various industries including software, hardware, pharmaceuticals and telecommunications.

Mrs. Leventis's experience includes drafting and negotiating terms of strategic alliance, corporate partnering, joint development and licensing transactions. She has also counseled clients on a variety of complex intellectual property and general commercial matters, including in connection with venture financings, mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, and other strategic investment arrangements.

Mrs. Leventis received her B.A. in Environmental Sciences with a minor in French from the University of Virgina in 1995 and later returned to the University of Virginia School of Law, earning her J.D. in 2001. She is a member of the California Bar, admitted in 2001.
