Archiving in Groupwise
Specifying the archive location
- From the main menu bar select Tools, Options.
- Double-click Environment, then click the File Location tab.
- Choose the location of your archive directory (C:\My Documents, etc.) in the Archive Directory text box.
- Click OK.
To archive an item in your Mailbox
- Select the item(s) in your Mailbox you want to archive. You can select multiple items by holding the shift key while selecting the item.
- Right-click the item(s) and choose Move to Archive.
To view archived items
- From the main menu bar select File.
- Select Open Archive. The GroupWise title bar indicates the Archive is open.
- To get back to your active GroupWise account, close the archive by choosing File, Open Archive again. This step removes the check mark that indicates the archive is open.
To unarchive items
- Select File, Open Archive.
- Click the item you want to unarchive and right-click the item(s) then choose Move to Archive. This step removes the check mark that indicates the item was archived.
- Select File, Open Archive to return to your active account.
- Note: Unarchived messages are returned to the folder from which they were archived. If the folder has been deleted, GroupWise recreates the folder.
To archive items automatically
- Select Tools, then Options.
- Double-click Environment, then click the Cleanup tab.
- Select Auto-Archive After for the item type you want (mail, phone, appointments, etc.)
- Specify the number of days after the item is delivered or completed that you want it to be archived.
- Press OK.
