Visiting Scholar Program

2006

| |

The Charles Knowlton Law and Liberal Arts Lecture was held on Thursday, February 23 at 5:00 in the Law School Auditorium.

Our speaker was Professor Martha Nussbaum of the University of Chicago School of Law. The title of her talk is "Radical Evil in the Lockean State: The Neglect of the Political Emotions" (PDF).

The Knowlton visiting scholar program has three major events: the lecture on Thursday, a program for students on Friday morning, and an interdisciplinary seminar for faculty from law and other departments at lunch on Friday.

You may enjoy the lecture by accessing the podcast of lecture. In order for the media file to play correctly in a browser, the you must have QuickTime 7 installed. QuickTime 7 is available for free for Windows and Macintosh at www.apple.com/quicktime/. A broadband Internet connection is also highly recommended!
