Frank Herndon Bailey
1902-1986

Past President of the South Carolina Bar and Charleston County Bar: Corporation Counsel for Charleston (1947-1959).

Integrity and high ideals characterized his practice for over 50 years of his life.

His pleasant personality and keen sense of humor endeared him to all.

A devoted son, husband, father and grandfather. Born to the Reverend Jessie Earl Bailey and Annie Scott Bailey, April 3, 1902; married Anne Johnston, April 4, 1936; one daughter, Anne Bailey Middleton, Mrs. H. Woodward Middleton and three grandchildren. Died June 26, 1986.

An active member of St. Michaels's Episcopal Church.

Life member of the American Law Institute and the United States Fourth Circuit Judicial Conference. A Fellow of the American Bar Association and a member of the International Society of Barristers.

An eminent attorney in State and Federal Courts both at the trial and appellate levels. A lawyer, devoted to the law, to his family, his Nation, his State, his city and his clients.
