William Henry Seals
Born April 28, 1926 in Dillon, South Carolina and graduated from Dillon Public Schools in 1944. Served in World War II in the Pacific with the 3rd Marine Division from 1944 through 1946.
B.A. degree, University of South Carolina, 1950. President of Kappa Sigma Kappa and Blue Key Honorary Fraternities. LL.B. degree, 1952 and admitted to the S.C. Bar. Devoted considerable time to public service as Assistant Solicitor of 12th Judicial Circuit and Marion County attorney. Chairman of the South Carolina Board of Education and member of the State Highway Commission. Actively involved in church activities and member of the Board of Trustees of Baptist College at Charleston.
Admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in South Carolina, The Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals and United States Supreme Court.
Died October 12, 1989. Survived by wife Melba R. Seals and three children: Susan S. Collins, Peggy S. Sansbury and William H. Seals, Jr.
