Pro Bono Program
A weekend of community service!
With just a few weeks left in the semester many students would normally be editing articles, writing outlines and paying attention to their academic demands but a few set aside the books and carved out a few hours to help make a difference in the community. Members of the Moot Court Bar sorted food at Harvest Hope Food Bank, Law Review members repaired and painted at Epworth Children’s Home and students in the Law and Social Justice Class were helping in both locations. March 20, 21 was a busy weekend but one that yielded a greater awareness of the needs of our community and how everyone can help. On many Fridays throughout the past year, student groups have been pulling together to perform vital volunteer services as part of a concerted effort by the Pro Bono Program. The Friday events have proven to be a terrific way to involve students in one day projects.
